Most & Least accessible cities in the world? (In your experience of course)
Louise, yafuu-daruma and Josh Grisdale14 CommentsI was really impressed with Singapore as all of the transportation was accessible and you didn’t need to get staff help.
For worst… any place with cobblestones! 😱
@Josh Grisdale ohh yes, Edinburgh is beautiful but obviously most of it is very old and cobbled, then it’s really hilly as well.. I found that very few tourist attractions and restaurants were accessible to me in my wheelchair either.
1I agree with Josh that Singapore is VERY accessible😀, we found that Bath is incredibly hilly (but nothing that my power chair couldn’t handle), it also has a lot of cobbled areas☹
@Josh Grisdale yes Singapore is great with the wheelchair. Lots of sights are accessible too. We stayed at the Parkroyal Pickering Hotel in May. Accessible hotel with friendly and helpful staff. We stayed at the Parkroyal Pickering which is accessible with friendly and helpful I just wanted to upload some pictures of the hotel, but for some reason it does not work. Will try again
@patty @travellover once I’m no longer a starving artist and mature student, I definitely want to travel more and Singapore is in my top 5 cities

Sydney is pretty good.
1@yafuu-daruma My cousin moved out to Sydney as a carpenter, he’s a few years younger than me but he’s been there over 10 years so it would be a nice opportunity to see him again
Chicago we found pretty accessible and flat to wheel around
@TravelLover Ohh you know it’s not a city I’ve ever thought much about but then I’ve been to Mexico, Thailand, even India but never the states. I have lots of friends spread out over the USA so I’m always struggling to decide who I’d visit as we can drive the entire length of England in what is only about the size of one of the larger states in the us. I don’t think so people in England realise the scale of some states as they will say to me can’t you just drive and see so and so for a day when the person lives 5 states away haha

I think I need a bit more time to think of the most accessible, but in terms of least, definitely any of the cities that I visited whilst in Cambodia 😛
1@Geordie Travels Haha I was thinking back to being in Thailand and was thinking much wasn’t even that accessible when I was a much younger fitter able bodied traveler 😂
