I went to DLP and thought it was really quite decent, only one wheelchair ride I noticed but the rest were transferable. I went on the Eurostar and everyone was lovely, b they got ramps for my mobility scooter without a complaint, asked me if I needed anything etc. I’m already planning on going back…

Do you find that certain brands do accessibility better than others? If so, does that matter when you make a decision about where to stay? ie if there are several options, you will likely choose the one you have had a good experience with.
MakWell, almost time for the Olympics and Paralympics, what are your thoughts on this commercial? I know some people opposed the London 2012 “Superhumans” commercial for making it look like everyone could overcome their disability. Is this better?
This is much better. It goes after the usual ‘inspiration porn’ crap we see too much of.
Meanwhile, here in the States, no specific Paralympics commercials yet. For now, it’s clumped in with the Olympic ads from major corporations.
1I liked the “Considering what?” comment. I didnt get the relevance of the annoying man in the chair though, but loved seeing the paralympians performing.
