MemberWell, almost time for the Olympics and Paralympics, what are your thoughts on this commercial? I know some people opposed the London 2012 “Superhumans” commercial for making it look like everyone could overcome their disability. Is this better?

This is much better. It goes after the usual ‘inspiration porn’ crap we see too much of.
Meanwhile, here in the States, no specific Paralympics commercials yet. For now, it’s clumped in with the Olympic ads from major corporations.

I liked the “Considering what?” comment. I didnt get the relevance of the annoying man in the chair though, but loved seeing the paralympians performing.

Personally, I would recommend trying to find a place in London’s West End. Neighbourhoods such as Soho and Covent Garden are good shouts, and you’re not too far away from lots of interesting places to visit. Soho is also great if you guys like a bit of nightlife. I remember hearing about the ISO standard. I believe it was released because I wanted to see it but it was going to cost like €180 o get a copy!
