I did all those places in June and I found it all a very pleasant experience. I was in my power wheelchair and given priority in all cities.
Is the SmartDrive acceptable at Japanese airports?

It will likely work, but take a bit longer to charge than usual. If both are yours, I suggest bringing the first one you sent.

They unfortunately only do pick up and returns in Tokyo but they have both manual and electric wheelchairs and the delivery is included in the price. Yes, as @wilgo said, it is possible… and the skills may be not fully up to par with some drivers. You could also be sure to check the height of your wheelchair/yourself as, for example, I need to remove my headrest to fit in the door and I need to face sideways which means only one other passenger can ride with me.
