Hi everyone,
so we come again to Japan in October, and now we will leave Tokyo to discover Kyoto, Nara, Osaka and Hiroshima.
Using the Tokyo metro with a power wheelchair was a real pleasure, everything was easy and people were kind and helpful, and really efficient.
Are public transports as easy as in Tokyo everywhere in Japan ? We will use…

It will likely work, but take a bit longer to charge than usual. If both are yours, I suggest bringing the first one you sent.

Yes, as @wilgo said, it is possible… and the skills may be not fully up to par with some drivers. You could also be sure to check the height of your wheelchair/yourself as, for example, I need to remove my headrest to fit in the door and I need to face sideways which means only one other passenger can ride with me.

I live in Japan and just went back to Canada for a bit. I went through Narita and had no problems.
As @han mentioned, they likely don’t have time to read instructions but you can tell them when you pass your chair over.
For example, I showed them the switches for manual/breaks, how to disengage the battery (I did it for them) and where not…
