Thank you for letting me know, I really appreciate it. I didn’t know that even if I found a visa sponsor while in Japan, I would need to leave and wait for the visa to be processed before returning. So the 90 days visa-free as a Canadian would not be able to be extended while in Japan by applying for a new visa while in Japan. Thank you.

I’ve been there during Christmas season before and it’s definitely more tolerable temperature-wise. I am going again Jan 22-Feb 20, 2025 and can give you an update while I am there or after, if you want to consider a similar time range for 2026.
