Hey everyone ❤️
I am a wheelchair user (the chair is a hybrid between a power and manual wheelchair) travelling to Tokyo, Okinawa, Kyoto and Osaka with my mom who is a lively 69 year old and a helper. My mom wants to see a lot of nature. 💚
Do you have any suggestions for nature routes that can be accessible for all of us? 💛
So far I have found Minoo Falls in Osaka via Accessible Japan 🧡
Thanks in advance . I wish all of us a wonderful day! 💜
Best regards,

How nature-y do you want?
For Kyoto, the Philosopher’s Path is a nice walk, but not reaaaally nature. There is a train through a ravine that is in nature, but not a walk…
near Tokyo you could go to Hakone or Mt Takao?
1@Josh Grisdale Woah, Bios no Oka looks so stunning and cozy! I hope we get the chance to visit! ❤️
It’s a good question with how nature-y. My mom thinks of something like the picture I attach to this message. ❤️
What is the train with the ravine called and what destination does it go to?
Is Hakone and Mt. Takeo wheelchair accessible? Do you know of any nature routes there and what train stations we should go to in order to get there? Perfectly okay if not. ❤️
And again, thank you so much for sharing all of this information and helping out. 💛
@Lea here is the train in Kyoto: https://www.sagano-kanko.co.jp/en/
Hakone and Takaosan require some strength due to steep paths, but doable.
What about this place in Nagano? https://www.accessible-japan.com/places/japan/nagano/nagano-1/attractions/togakushi-universal-tourism-desk/
