Hello,
My power wheelchair has never been classified as a medical device, so a simple cane certainly would be fine. I think the CPAP machine would be considered a medical device though.
Fiiinally got to ride in one of the newer Shinkansen with 6(!) wheelchair seats!

I guess you can ask them for renting in another cities also.
I know this “training” question may seem strange for people outside Japan, but they want to be sure that you will use the materiel appropriately and will not harm yourself using it. Maybe you can ask to do the training only once in the first city you rent the hoist, I think it will…Need electric mobility scooter for my dad.
