- Where ever you get the helpers, you will need to pay out of pocket. There is a huge lack of helpers here, so it is likely best to bring them with you. Even when I moved here I had someone from Canada with me for about 6 months…

I guess it depends on your tolerance of extra people!
My personal feeling is that it won’t be as big as they expect/say as everything is behind schedule and a lot of people here are not really interested.
I think your biggest challenge will be getting a hotel as accessible rooms are already hard to get, but still should be possible.

There are definitely accessible seats, so in the worst case scenario you could book in advance at the Midori no Madoguchi booking counter found at most larger JR stations.
