Last time I was in Sapporo was about 10 years ago, but even then I had no issues with train and subway accessibility that I can recall (though, it was 10 years ago so I may have forgotten!). If there are specific places you would like to visit, let us know and we can check relevant stations for you!

When you got your JR Pass, was there any documentation that came with it? If so, was there any information for wheelchair users?
Where did you buy it? They should have warned you about the Green Tickets.

Not sure about the different requirements, but I know some people would pop over to South Korea for a day or two and re-enter for the next 90 days (its only a 2hr flight away, so you could just go for a day if you want!).
