Justin Schroth became involved with the website over 5 years ago as he started to plan moving to Japan. As we got to know each other, he naturally became part of the team and went on to not only help create a lot of content on the website but also helped answer the questions of numerous travelers and enabled them to fulfill their dreams of visiting Japan.
It was a great privilege to finally meet him in person last year as he spent 3 months in Yokohama as a trial run before moving here.
Unfortunately, before fulfilling his dream, Justin passed away after battling Muscular Dystrophy. However, he will live on through his contributions and continue to help others experience the Japanese he loved.

So sad to hear the news. I know his love for Japan and his dedication to help others travel in Japan. I miss him and his smile.

How very sad. I’ve only been involved with the site for a few months and it’s a sad loss . Someone who had time for other people. A special person.
