“It’s an amazing opportunity to show other people that just because you’re in a wheelchair, you can still have this really cool life,” Anna says. “I think a lot of people tend to forget that, especially since we don’t really see a lot of people in wheelchairs leading cool lives in movies or books or TV or anything like that. It’s important to change perspectives on that.”

In the US, and probably in most other places, the accessibility residential requirements for those living with disabilities are not as strict as commercial requirements, so many BnB’s/vacation rentals often have challenges (minimum usually a step-up into the house). Although this is improving (people adding ramps, creating accessible spaces, etc.), and it’s nice to see a big vacation rental company bringing awareness about traveling with a wheelchair like this!
