What do you think about this? Will airplane designs change? If so, can we hope for accessibility?
The point about carrying through designs from the 1950s was interesting….

Clean Slate Considerations: Making Room For Accessibility On board - Runway Girl
The long-established needs of disabled flyers and an ageing population are prompting interesting questions about cabin accessibility.
nezasafaris2 CommentsIf this was a normal option on planes then I have a simple answer: I would fly more!
The most annoying and uncomfortable part of plane trips to me is the seating, and second being the restrooms (which I believe would change to accommodate if the seating was made accessible). I’ve seen some airlines consider this in the past, but none actually get past the initial stage. The US government (previous administration) was considering laws requiring something like these changes but didn’t get to it before the election year came about (and sadly the current administration doesn’t seem to think its an issue to be considered). I really hope at least one airline decides to increase accessibility, then they may find that they have 1 new happily-loyal customer. If seating is an issue, check out this post:

But I’m with you – I would not consider flying so painful and fly so much more!
