valentinaexplores4 CommentsYeah, when I saw the preview of this my first thought was that it’s probably impractical as a wheelchair (for both cost and customizable standpoints) and that’s probably why they’re selling it as a general transportation device. I would also like to see more innovations in terms of overcoming regular wheelchair limitations than just visual or gimmick ideas.
That was my main issue with the Whil wheelchairs. They got picked up by the media as “revolutionizing wheelchairs” but had no basic options like tilting seats or fold away footrests… they just looked futuristic…
The best designers are the ones who are physically challenged themselves, as practicality and usability are embodied in the design or model…
