MemberI went to Takaosan yesterday day and stopped for soba at one of the rest stops. Just I was thinking “gee this table is low…” a staff member brought over a tin box and asked “will putting this under the tray help?”
I love meeting people who are thoughtful and also creative.

alliejay, nat and 2 others2 CommentsI once visited a model rail road museum and the displays were too high for my wheelchair. A staff member came by and handed me a mirror they keep for “wheel friends” of the museum. I absolutely loved that!

The batteries in my wheelchair just died and I need two new ones.
Abilities is a company that deals with import wheelchairs and has a shop in Hiroshima. They are your best bet but likely don’t have English speaking staff, so best to get your hotel to call. Here is their info:
