MemberGood morning.
First of all, how many days do you plan to stay in each city? As you probably know, staying in Izu or Hakone and going sightseeing in Tokyo would be quite tiring. Because of the distance.
Hot springs are not often found in big cities, but are found a little further away. And the accommodation you want is relatively easy to find…
Shinkansen and general train/metro questions
Excellent points!
And thank you for the point about the batteries – I guess they are still getting used to scooters… (never been asked in my power wheelchair). I’m glad you made it!
Shinkansen and general train/metro questions
I once had to go back home with my electric wheelchair, and I was able to get on the Shinkansen train by myself. But Josh’s method may be the best way to eliminate the worry.

I went to an outdoor Christmas market locally in Boston! Technically accessible but conditions of the ground were pretty bad, so I was happy to stay standing by the end lol… I am always tempted when I see holiday markets in Europe, but when I go outside in the cold I am always reminded that a big cold weather trip would not be a good idea for me!!!
