Yes, as @wilgo said, it is possible… and the skills may be not fully up to par with some drivers. You could also be sure to check the height of your wheelchair/yourself as, for example, I need to remove my headrest to fit in the door and I need to face sideways which means only one other passenger can ride with me.

As @han mentioned, they likely don’t have time to read instructions but you can tell them when you pass your chair over.
For example, I showed them the switches for manual/breaks, how to disengage the battery (I did it for them) and where not…
