Aside from ensuring wheelchair-accessible hotel rooms, municipalities across Japan must also craft barrier-free policies after Nov. 1 and identify areas that need attention in order to implement them.
So great Japan got the Olympics/Paralympics (and now the World Expo in Osaka)!

Hmmm… tough question. I would divide parks in Japan into public parks (ie an area with an open space and usually some sort of lawn) and Japanese-garden “parks” (usually a charge to get in, very sculped, no lawn areas usuall just follow the path).
Since cherry blossoms are so popular here, both typically have them.

There certainly are accessible places to live (ie https://www.athome.co.jp/mansion/chuko/theme/barrierfree/tokyo/shinjuku-city/list/), but you will need your school to act as a go between and guarantor as you can’t just rent a place out of the blue here. Is there a coordinate for international students at your school?
