That is why I joined as well. I’m a wheelchair user but I want to learn how to help people with other disabilities. Just because you have A disability doesn’t make you a pro on ALL disabilities!

Did they help you find another hotel, or did you just need to make do with the original one?
MakWe checked into the Orchard Hotel in Singapore and I had booked an accessible room, on the first afternoon I went down and said it was unsuitable as I couldn’t get out of the bathroom, they were very apologetic and said they only have 2 accessible rooms and the other was occupied

It allows people with hearing impairments indicate they cannot hear, and then answer the typical convenience store questions by just pointing. And, as with most things designed to be accessible, it can help others too – in this case non-Japanese speakers!
