New Wheelchair Rental at Haneda
Some of you here are probably aware of this, but a new wheelchair rental service has started at Haneda Airport Terminal 3. They rent normal manual wheelchairs as well as a light-weight power wheelchairs that is foldable and self-standing.

I’m planning on arriving the end of May, would this still be an option then? Is there any way I can be updated on this? I have a foldable electric wheelchair that I was planning on bringing, but this might make it easier since I am flying into and out of HND, but my arrival and departure times are in the early evening, 8 pm.

is there anyone who has taken a mobility aid, example -a scooter (which is powered by lithium battery)on a plane?

I have batteries on my wheelchair. I don’t know if there are lithium, the important thing you have to do is to call the air company and give them all the specific to the competent department and the IATA certification etc etc, so they can register your aid.

I have done this 4-5x from SG to Indonesia & Australia. Just need to remove the lithium batteries & hand carry onto the flight. Also show them the batteries specs sheet. No issue at all for me 🙂
Just allow more time during check in for assistance.
