Disability card/ general info
(Wheelchair user) I have seen on some tourist spot websites and museums about free or discounted pricing with a disability card or something of the sort. As a tourist, how would you get one of these? Also, is there anything I should know for visiting the UK for the first time, advice, tips, where to stay? Any info is greatly appreciated as I…

When I visited London in 2019, I was never asked for a disability ID to get discounts. But, I have a very visible disability, so they didn’t need to ask.

I have a question about European opera houses. A catch-22 situation has happened to me three times recently. I am a (Canadian) wheelchair user. Within recent years, in order to book a wheelchair seat on-line, I must show a disability ID card certifying my disability. I cannot get such a card as I’m not an EU citizen and we don’t have these…

I BELIEVE the ship would be the Celebrity Edge, which I think is the Ocean line? I’m new…

A lift was used to get me on and off the very comfortable train, which took us from Anchorage to Denali Park. A two days later we continued on it to the dock in Whittier. The train…

Hakuba (Japan Alps) trip report Fall 2025
We visited Hakuba as a day-trip from Matsumoto mid-October for some fall colors and were not disappointed! Train to Hakuba was 1 hr (1.5 hr if not express), allowed an extra 15 minutes to get a ramp / “ramp-u”, which was quick and easy. From Hakuba station, a taxi loaded up the 3 of us with a foldable wheelchair (thanks to bungee cords in…
