Eurostar Delight!
On both occasions when I have taken the Eurostar (the most recent being last month), I have found the experience extremely pleasant. What’s more, with capped fares for disabled passengers and one companion, plus an automatic upgrade to first class, it’s a touch of elegance that remains affordable.

Eurostar is amazing. For those immunocompromised I’d recommend to still mask as the ventilation is not great (the air changes don’t feel constant or enough) but it’s definitely better in First Class. We travel both times measuring with our CO2 meter.

Assistance boarding trains
Do I always need to have assistance when I get on a train ? I’ll be doing multiple transfers moving around Tokyo and Osaka with my family and can normally move on a train without problems.

No, if you can do it yourself, then that is fine. I know many people who don’t get assistance and ride around either by popping a wheelie themselves or having a companion do it.
When you go through staff may ask but you can just say you are fine.
If you are ever in need of help, there will be an intercom somewhere on the platform you can use to…

I normally travel with my husband so we do not require assistance from the staff. We just signal we are ok and it’s totally fine.
