• Hi there, I’m looking for any help/advice on how to book seats using Klook app for one full time wheelchair user and her 2 parents. Klook customer care told me on the online chat, they didn’t have the answer to my question!!!!!

    Has anyone on here booked accessible seating with companions and if so, how? Is there a companion rate?

      Hello.

      Perhaps this question is about “reserving wheelchair seats on the Shinkansen”? You can only reserve wheelchair seats and areas on the Shinkansen at the JR counter.

      Or you can make reservations by registering with JR’s Smart ex. However, this is not available for all trains.

      • Yes, as @tak mentioned, you need to book directly via JR. Until just recently you could only book accessible seats via the booking counter at a station, but some lines like the Tokaido Shinkansen can now be booked online, but only directly from JR:
