As Justin mentioned, Japan is aging rapidly and you will often see seniors sitting on their walkers.
If it is a small stool it should be no issue, but a camping chair with a drink holder might be too much 😜

Its Golden Week here in Japan where there are a number of national holidays in a row and most people take advantage of it to take time off and travel.
Personally, even though it is much easier to get time off, I avoid traveling this week due to the crowds etc.

I’ve been traveling around during this GW and it is indeed very crowded on trains, etc. Went to Shibuya a few days ago, Odawara Castle yesterday (samurai parade), and Showa Kinen Park today (poppies).
