Airplane Seat Cushion Ideas for Disabled Fliers
Is your wheelchair’s seat cushion removable? Mine’s attached to the frame by Velcro. I can pull mine out if I need to.
My problem isn’t the cushion but the angle of the seat back. My wheelchair seat back is at only 30 degrees. Even if I recline the airplane seat back, it’s still not enough. So I slouch down so my hip can be at 30 degrees.
Anyone use Word Lens or other smart phone translators?
Both. It allows you to download Japanese onto your phone.
When you talk, it’ll translate it into Japanese and vice versa. When you want to translate text, you point your camera at the text and it will translate it.
Try it out on your own before you go to see if it’ll work for your needs.

Just last week, I shared a cab ride from Anaheim Angels (baseball) stadium with a couple from Osaka. (Yes, they went to watch Shohei Ohtani play.) We used Google Translate only to have a good 20-minute conversation about their trip and Las Vegas recommendations. They were able to communicate with the cab driver by only using Google Translate.
Could you just save up so you can get your vehicle converted safely by the experts? One of the things about living with a disability is that our lives are very expensive. Also, don’t certain modifications have to be specific so you will be safe during collisions?
