Yes, it’s very frustrating that too many assume we don’t know how to use our own medical equipment. I would just let the supplier do their speech so there won’t be any conflict. Just nod your head in agreement. Just remind yourself that you only have to deal with them once, maybe twice, and that’s it.
If you’re getting the hoist first and you already know how to use it safely before they see you, just use it before they give you the instructions. When they do meet with you, don’t voluntarily tell them you know how to use it already. What they don’t know won’t hurt them.
