What are your biggest challenges?
1 CommentKnowing if the pavements and roads will be accessible. Hoping that there’s enough accessible shops, cafes, tourist attractions that are without barriers to enter. Wondering where I might find an accessible toilet when out and about, getting pleasantly lost as I explore new surroundings.

I am a congenitally disabled person who needs to use an electric wheelchair throughout the whole process. In July, I will go to Miyako Island for a cruise tour. I want to know if there is a wheelchair taxi or other means of transportation on the island.
Hello,
There are a few taxis on the island and that is likely the best way to get around. You can see them here: https://caretaxi-net.com/taxi/kyushu_okinawa/okinawa/miyakojima/
But unfortunately they look to only be contactable by phone…
Perhaps @wtj can create a tour for you using one of them?

I love restaurants/cafes on the street – instantly makes many places accessible!
