MemberI have rented a WiFi hotspot in Japan twice and I think it’s totally worth it. We used it mostly for maps and if we needed to translate anything.

you pick it up at the airport and then drop it off in the mail on your way home. Couldn’t have been easier.

And if nothing else, it will force them to pay attention when handling mobility equipment. It’s absurd to have to worry if your wheelchair will be in pieces by the time you get it back.
Bren, another thing to consider for amazing views of Mt. Fuji is the path along lake Kawaguchi. I use a manual wheelchair and we had no trouble along that path so it was easy to get some stunning (weather permitting) photos too.
