Membermetro and train outside of Tokyo with power wheelchair
Hello,
For the cities you mentioned, likely the experience will be the same as Tokyo (though, the smaller the city, the fewer the options).
I would note:
- In Kyoto you will need to rely on buses to get to many of the sites. While they are accessible, they are also very crowded. Getting on at the beginning point of a bus route will be fine, but…
Is the SmartDrive acceptable at Japanese airports?
I think @joanp uses one and has been to Japan twice – maybe he can comment too.
ek8095Japan as a power wheelchair user
It will likely work, but take a bit longer to charge than usual. If both are yours, I suggest bringing the first one you sent.
ek8095Japan wheelchair taxi on Go app?
Yes, as @wilgo said, it is possible… and the skills may be not fully up to par with some drivers. You could also be sure to check the height of your wheelchair/yourself as, for example, I need to remove my headrest to fit in the door and I need to face sideways which means only one other passenger can ride with me.
This video might be good…
