MemberTokyo: best area for wheelchair user
I look forward to seeing all your experiences here David😀, happy travels fellow Tabifolk user
We checked into the Orchard Hotel in Singapore and I had booked an accessible room, on the first afternoon I went down and said it was unsuitable as I couldn’t get out of the bathroom, they were very apologetic and said they only have 2 accessible rooms and the other was occupied
RobWe rented a brilliant vehicle in Australia from Europcar at Sydney Airport it was a very comfortable vehicle, had power steering, was automatic I’d highly recommend them, I’ve copied the link here https://www.europcar.com.au/products/wheelchair-accessible-car-rental, hope this helps😊
Tips for cobblestone and bumpy surfaces in a wheelchair
I can remember being in the city of Bath recently and they have lots of cobblestones, my feet also kept falling off the footplates😠. I also had to keep readjusting myself in my chair (thank goodness I have strong arms) so that made it a little more bearable but I’m sorry Josh I have no absolute solution to your problem in Japan
As a wheelchair user myself I think this is awesome as I also love to go on safari😀. I’m lucky I can stand so get to travel in the Land Rover (usually next to the Ranger)
