New York’s Restaurant Access Program for Accessible Restaurants
New York’s Restaurant Access Program for Accessible Restaurants
I was reading an article suggesting 5 accessible restaurants in New York (https://wheeliegoodtravelcompany.com/my-blog/f/eating-out-and-about-in-new-york-with-a-wheelchair) and was interested to learn that New York has a badge for accessible restaurants.
It is called the Restaurant Access Program and restaurants that meet the requirements (https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/mopd/downloads/pdf/RAP_survey_guidelines.pdf) can get a sticker for their window and be listed in database that has a restaurant finder tool.
I like the idea, but I with it also included accessible toilets… but better than nothing!
