Thanks for sharing about Greenville, @landrie ! It sounds like it has a lot to offer accessibility-wise except for some inclines. Your new scooter will definitely help ease those parts of the trip.

A Colorado adaptive hiking foundation has three events on their calendar taking place in Colorado Springs. These opportunities are for adapted athletes with limited mobility, but generally for anyone interested in a hiking community.
I play in disablity golf tournaments internationally. Golf has become much more accessible. There are a lot of mobility aids available and there is a special wheelchair used for playing golf for wheelchair users called a Paragolfer.
Golf has given me my life back and a purpose to get out of bed each day.
