Hello group !!! To celebrate my 50th birthday next year with my wife we would like to visit Japan. Before doing things wrong and not wasting time searching I would like you to give me your opinion with your experience. Do you know if there is any company in Japan specialised in adapted travel (wheelchair) that can help me? My idea is to take as much as I can confirm from here (Spain) and then go on excursions there, etc. I am in the process of searching for information and I am open to any solution. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I recently hired a power wheelchair and went to a lot of the main attractions. Had a wonderful time there. I used a hired driver for Kyoto and Osaka. He is very helpful and knowledgeable about the needs of disabled people. Here is his site https://caretaxi17.com/

We are in Japan right now (it’s our third time here). I think you will find many people in this community willing to help and the comments will give you some impressions of how highly accessible Japan is.
We have used @ohayotravel to arrange some transportation for us and they were extremely friendly and easy to work with. It is possible to travel via trains in a wheelchair here so as you progress in your research and find where you would like to visit many people here know the specifics of how to help get you there. You and your wife will have a wonderful time!
