We are taking a 12 day cruise around Japan mid October and I am looking for accessible tours that can accommodate my son’s electric wheelchair (about 150 kg). The stops we are looking for are to see Tokyo, Mt Fuji. Kyoto, Okinawa as a start. We are also going to Kochi, Ishigski and Kagoshima, but I don’t know enough about those ports to know what might be interesting to see. Are there excursion companies that might have some options for us – perhaps a travel agency that specializes in accessible travel. thanks

    Hi Deb,

JNTO has a pamphlet with information on Japanese Ports. It probably doesn’t include specific acessibility information, but there is information about how to get from the port to the city centre. It’s a 21MB PDF. You can find the link half way down this page: https://www.japan.travel/en/au/travel-trade/brochures-maps-and-posters/
