If anyone is looking for information on the accessibility of Kagoshima, on the southwestern tip of Kyushu Island: I’ve written an accessibility review of this beautiful seaside city and its majestic volcano on my blog after traveling through Japan with a 21-Day Japan-Rail-Pass.

Thanks for the awesome info!  So, you would say the bus is much better than the tram I guess.  Is there any need to use the tram?

No, there is no need to take the tram. It is a little cheaper than the bus, though. We could have taken the bus to get from Kagoshima-Chuo to our hotel, but I wanted to test the accessibility of the tram.

Thank you for being so thorough! It saves someone else from having to try!

I have never been, now I want to go!
