I will be travelling with my teenager son, who stuffers of a peripheral neuropathy. He can walk and does not use a wheelchair but his walking autonomy is very reduced and he can hardly wait in a line (balance issues). In France where we live he has a disability card that alows him to use elevator, avoid the lines, etc but I heard that this might be difficult in Japan. Do you have an idea of a possibility to translate this card or other formalities that will make our trip easier?

    Hello,

We have something similar to the Sunflower Lanyard called Help Mark. If your son has this it should help you get better understanding for the situations you mentioned.

Thankyou very much. Do you know what kind of documents are necessary to obtain this card?

It isn’t an official medical certificate but just an honor system. You just need to ask for it.
