Hiring carers in Japan?

  • Hiring carers in Japan?

    Good evening

I am wondering if anyone has had any experience of hiring carers in Japan and can offer me any guidance?

My mobility is now severely reduced and I am reliant on carers in the UK. I very much want to still be able to travel to Japan but I am going to be unable to without support in place before I go.

    Hi Don san,

    We are wheelchair friendly Taxi.

We could go to Narita airport to meet you. And visit to anywhere you want. Pls tell us what kind of support you need.

    Hello Don-san,

You are looking for a travel carer. I think it would be best if you could hear the actual experiences of other tabifolk members, but

In Japan there are various services such as travel doctors, travel nurses and travel carers and we have several people we are connected with.

We can also introduce you to someone to suit your needs. (Of course, any area in Japan!)

If you need, please feel free to contact us.

I’m traveling with my family from Germany to Tokio for one week in April. I am a full-time wheelchair user following a motorcycle accident.

I need support by a nurse to get ready for the day. I was not successful so far to find mobile nursing services who can come to my hotel for two or three hours in the morning.Any guidance would be appreciated!

      @PaulFlorian Hello Paul-Florian-san,

If you would like, we may be able to introduce you to a nurse service that can provide the care you are looking for.

If you need assistance, please send us a direct message on tabifolk.

      Many thanks for reaching out.

These are the tasks I need assistance with:

      • Washing/showering
      • Assistance on toilet. I’m using an anal irrigation system which I can handle myself but I need someone to insert the catheter. No training necessary. I trained many people on my trips already. The toilet routine needs to be performed at three days during my stay.
      • dressing

I need support for 2 to 3 hours starting around 8 AM in the morning between 20 April and 26 April.

My hotel is located nearby Shinjuku Station in Tokyo.

Thank you for your suggestions. I only need a carer to help with hoist transfer to/from powerchair to hotel bed in central Yokohama. No help with travel is required as we will limit this to day trips. No medical assistance is necessary. It is for a 17=day period in April and would be for about 30 minutes say around 8.30 am and elso early evening. No English language skill is necessary as my wife is Japanese.

      Hello @don109 -san,

Oh, that was a new question for me, so I looked into it and this service might be possible.

      https://www.crowdcare.jp/lp_main_sf

I just called and they said it is possible to visit a hotel in Yokohama. A qualified physical care helper would visit.

      Please refer to your options.
