We are so excited to be heading to Japan soon! What is the best way to get from Haneda airport to Akihabara? We will have a few suitcases and a manual wheelchair. I want it to be as easy as possible after our long flight. Thanks!

    Hi!

    Must be getting excited!

There are a few train routes to get to Akihabara from Haneda. They all have at least one transfer and will be about 45min (depending on how fast staff can respond).

    Here are a few:

    • Monorail to Hamamatsucho, JR Yamanote line to Akihabara
    • Monorail to Hamamatsucho, Keihin Tohoku line to Akihabara
    • Keikyu Airport Line to Shinagawa, Keihin Tohoku line to Akihabara

Alternatively, there are a few accessible taxi drivers who cal help if that is easier/fits your budget.

You may consider sending your suitcases from airport to hotel directly. They may arrive on the same day or next day. Check “baggage delivery service” in Haneda’s website.

We used Wilgo transport . Jun is such a nice guy. He has a wheelchair accessible vehicle that has a ramp that the person can just wheel straight on the vehicle and room for suitcases as well . As with Japan it’s expensive for private hire but worth the extra cost just to have total peace of mind. After all it’s a holiday so enjoy.
