    Hello…I use a 4 wheel. Fold up,l disability scooter in Australia, it is safety cleared for air, train, bus, boat transport.

    Will this be allowed in Japan? I will be staying in my Kyoto house for about 8 weeks.

    Appreciate any information

      In general for getting around on the street it should be fine, it is transportation that can be a bit of a potential challenge. Check if your scooter meets the requirements listed by JR (in above link) and then you can can use the following site to see if the station you are planning to visit accepts scooters.

    I understsnd this app relates to wheelchairs, not mobility scooters
