Hello, my wife will be traveling to Japan and she will bring her own lightweight portable scooter on the plane. We live in The Netherlands and here you need an insurance to use the scooter on the streets (comparable with a car insurance). Do you need this kind of insurance also in Japan? Hi!
It cost ¥45,000 (same charge up to a month) including delivery, and is paid in cash at time of delivery. It runs for about 10km on a single charge, and has been very easy to maneuver.
