Has anyone been to the Vatican in a wheelchair?  Is it possible to see most areas?  Are there places that are difficult to go?

    Thanks!

Hi there, yes I have been at the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel 100+ times as I work with rental of wheelchairs and organizes tour for visit it as well. And I can guarantee you can Visit almost 85% of the Vatican Museums even with more  74% of disability and can’t walk for short distance, but if you are able climb the 22 steps from Chiaramonti museum to the Octagonal yard and the 35 steps from the egyptian gregorian museum to the gallery of candelabra in that way you will be able to see 95% of the Vatican Museums as the others main highlights are served with elevators.

So, If I am in a power wheelchair and cannot walk, 74%.

I guess that is not bad since it is such an old building.

    Thanks!
