Imagine this: A guest with visual impairments arrives at a hotel. They can easily navigate the lobby thanks to clear signage and tactile floor markings. Staff are welcoming and knowledgeable about accessible amenities, ensuring a smooth check-in. This is the power of accessibility training in the travel industry, and Sage Inclusion’s Accessibility Training Project is here to equip the industry professionals with the tools to make it a reality.

Bridging the Gap Between Knowledge and Action

The travel industry thrives on inclusivity. Yet, a gap often exists between good intentions and the ability to truly cater to guests with disabilities. Our training tackles this head-on by providing hospitality professionals with the skills and confidence they need to create exceptional experiences for everyone.

More Than Just Awareness: Building Expertise

Our program goes beyond raising awareness. We delve into the specifics, offering a robust curriculum built on internationally recognized standards and best practices. This ensures our training is credible and effective. Imagine being able to confidently answer questions about accessible rooms, assistive technologies, or navigating the property with a mobility aid.

    Tailored Learning for Every Role

We understand that the needs of a front-desk agent differ from those of a housekeeping staff. That’s why our program offers segmented modules specifically designed for various hospitality roles. This targeted approach ensures you gain the knowledge most relevant to your day-to-day tasks.

    Making a Difference Together

By participating in our training, travel and hospitality professionals are not just enhancing their skills; they’re becoming accessibility champions. They join a community passionate about inclusivity, contributing to a travel industry that welcomes everyone.

Together, we can break down barriers and open doors to a world of possibility.

We are thrilled to hear about this initiative. My Husband & I travel multiple months each year, always staying in hotels. We see a desperate need for this service. It feels like hotels were much better at accommodating disability until approximately 5-8 years ago (possibly due to so many mergers/acquisitions). Best of luck and we hope to see your results in the future.

We are excited to share our progress and results with you in the near future. Safe travels to you and your husband, and we hope to see you enjoying fully accessible accommodations very soon!
