Power for wheelchair battery charging and internet on cruises

    Hey,

Is the power and plugs on cruise ships standardized (ie are they all 120v)? Or do they vary by cruise line / country of origin? I use a power wheelchair which obviously needs to charge and sometimes need a step down/up voltage converter when traveling.

Separate question, what is is the internet like? Is there wifi throughout the ships? Is it fast?

    Thanks!

In recent years the newer cruise ships have added more US, UK/European, and USB outlets. I usually bring a small multi plug or power strip with me. Internet has improved greatly improved in recent years. It is designed to cover the whole ship. But the ship will periodically have outages or slow service due to people on line or reception interference from the satellite wifi signal.

I could imagine that there would be quite a strain on the wifi!
