Accessible Toilets in Australia

    Hello.

What are accessible toilets like in Australia?  A lot of places in Asia (like Singapore and Japan) have a separate private toilet, but in North America it is often just a stall at the back it is slightly larger… I also heard that you need a key in Europe!

Anyway, just wondering what it is like in Australia.  Thanks for the help!

Hi, not sure if you are still watching this topic but here’s my input.  In Australia, shopping centres and some restaurants usually have a separate room for disabled people.  However in other places it is merely a stall that is bigger then an ordinary one, this can also change from centre to centre.  I would highly urge against going out into the bush though, some have stairs and others have ramps, BUT they are all just single cubicles and there’s nothing for anyone in a wheelchair (at least not in New South Wales).
