    Global Ballooning Australia started operating Australia’s first Easy Access Basket in 2012 to allow customers with physical disabilities enjoy hot air ballooning.

    Typically, getting into the basket of the hot air balloon requires climbing up over the edge, but Global Ballooning Australia’s basket has a door built into the side!  While wheelchairs must be left on the ground, it is possible to drive right up to the basket and transfer to the bench.  The seating also has a harness for those with challenges balancing problems as well as grab bars.
