Are there issues with traveling by public transport in a scooter in your country? There is here in Japan – and I thought it was only a Japan issue, but was reading about registering scooters for smooth access to train in the UK and see the issue is bigger than Japan……
2 CommentsIn Belgium, mobility scooters are allowed on the train (although limits to size and weight apply) and in the subway. Not on buses and trams, however.
The official reason of ‘safety’ is never explained. As far as I know, if you can position yourself with your back towards the driver there shouldn’t be a safety issue.- View 1 reply
