I’m Loredana 58 writing from Rome, Italy on a wheelchair because of a muscular dystrophy.
I’m here because in two months I’ll be travelling for the first time to Japan. I’m super excited and also overwhelmed.. It’s something I always dreamt about but as I inform myself and study itineraries I discover that accessibility can be very difficult..
So.. here I am! willing to look around and discover new things 🇮🇹💚❤🇯🇵

Welcome Loredana, I’ve never been to Japan but have a Support Worker who is there at the moment, would you like me to enquire about how you would be able to cope while you’re there? Where are you going in that huge country

@9patty Hello Patty 🙂 At the moment we have the tickets and, with some bumps on the road because most of the hotel are not accessible and the one that are are very expensive, completing the stays 😅
What worries me the most is how to go from one place to another.. not between big cities or in cities like Tokyo or Kyoto.. I’m thinking about little beatiful spots.. maybe a driver with a wheelchair accessible vehicle? but I don’t know if it is something easy to arrange and also if it is too expensive..
What about the support worker?
