Hello everyone, I’m trying to gather some important information for an upcoming article I am writing. I’d love some tips from the vision & hearing-impaired communities – what are the essential requirements to enhance your stay when booking accommodation?
Josh Grisdale5 CommentsWhilst I don’t personally have either a visual impairment or a hearing impairment there is one thing that I think is great and that’s when hotels provide pillows that vibrate in cases where there’s a fire alarm!
I also am not experienced, but I know one hotel here in Japan uses a different scent on each floor to help visitors know when they get to the right floor.
1@Josh Grisdale Once again, I’ve never heard of that concept, Josh – what a great way to help the vision-impaired community!

@Geordie Travels Wow, I’ve never heard of that – thanks so much 🙏
1@rollinadventuresinbali – I first heard about it when reviewing a hotel in Wellington, NZ. Since then I’ve seen it several times in other hotels. It’s a great idea and helps to keep people safe 🙂
