When we were in Australia last year we visited Toowoon Bay Beach, Toowoon Bay on the NSW Central Coast and I got onto a beach accessible wheelchair. It was an awesome feeling getting so close to the seas after all this time. I used to adore going to the beach in my able days but I’ve been in a wheelchair since February 2007 after suffering a subarachnoid hemorrhage which has left me in a wheelchair. I’m fortunate as I can still use my arms, it really has only affected my legs so I’m fortunate😀

It is amazing how much beach accessibility can bring such joy. Hopefully more beaches will follow suit.
