• Just to let you know that the super accessible beach in Southern Italy (province of Lecce for those who know the area a bit) is now taking reservations for this summer! The bath is perfectly equipped and also has recharging stations for electric wheelchairs/powerchairs as it was set up by a brilliant guy who had ALS, Gaetano. He sadly left us last year but the association he created, together with friends and family, is continuing to manage the beach. It is a sandy beach with bathing facilities and super nice volunteers and policemen/women who actually help you get in and out and make the whole experience super fun. Also they have beach chairs and sea chairs the whole lot.

      • My crappy phone is not letting me share the Facebook page link, where you have all the info for the bookings but here is their website ioposso.eu and you can message them in English or Italian or in any language, they’ll manage, Italians are flexible :D. Also they can give you good tips to find accessible accommodation and transport 🙂
