Just to let you know that the super accessible beach in Southern Italy (province of Lecce for those who know the area a bit) is now taking reservations for this summer! The bath is perfectly equipped and also has recharging stations for electric wheelchairs/powerchairs as it was set up by a brilliant guy who had ALS, Gaetano. He sadly left us last year but the association he created, together with friends and family, is continuing to manage the beach. It is a sandy beach with bathing facilities and super nice volunteers and policemen/women who actually help you get in and out and make the whole experience super fun. Also they have beach chairs and sea chairs the whole lot.
